Showing a horse presents numerous challenges to both the rider and the horse. It takes a lot of hard work to be prepared mentally and physically to get through the "In Gate." At Reindance Stables,everyone, the trainers, staff, customers, friends and family, help each other so that everyone has a fun and rewarding show experience. Each year there always seems to be an individual or two that go the extra mile giving encouragement, helping get the show clothes organized, making sure the horse is brushed just right, etc. To honor and thank these individuals, we have created the "Freddy Award" in honor of one of our beloved lesson horses Town Center, a.k.a. Freddy.
Freddy was an American Saddlebred who came to Reindance Stables after retiring from the show ring. He taught countless riders how to drive, trot on the correct diagonal and canter on the correct lead. Freddy had a lot of heart and looked forward to his lessons particularly the lunge line lessons. His all time favorite was the horsey games played at the yearly holiday party! Freddy was truly the anchor of our lesson program until he passed away after 32 years of being a great horse. Below are the receipents of our prestigious "Freddy Award."
